[Reading] How to simplify sentences with multiple clauses
Áp dụng như thế nào?
Về cơ bản, phương pháp này sẽ khá giống các bạn đọc 2 lần, vì các bạn sẽ đọc bài qua 1 lần, rồi lúc đọc sẽ phải tìm các bộ phận cần thiết trong cấu trúc và gạch chân các phần ấy. Nhớ là các bạn đang gạch chân các bộ phận để đơn giản hóa cấu trúc, chứ không phải gạch để tìm ý các bạn nhé!
Tập trung vào gạch các cấu trúc câu chính trước:
S + V + O
S + tobe + N/adj
There + tobe + N
Câu ghép: and, but, so
Câu phức: because, although, despite, while, in addition to
Mệnh đề quan hệ (relative clause): which, that, who, whom, when, where, whose
Gạch chân các từ nối:
Kế tiếp ta sẽ gạch chân các từ nối để tạo nên câu phức: because / although / while, etc – nếu nó thuộc cấu trúc chính (tức thuộc phần trên)
Đối với mệnh đề quan hệ:
Không gạch chân các mệnh đề quan hệ sau dấu phẩy. Chỉ gạch mệnh đề quan hệ nếu nó nối liền với cấu trúc chính.
Đối với cấu trúc liệt kê:
Đối với cấu trúc liệt kê như such as, nếu nó nối liền với cấu trúc chính, chỉ gạch 1 đối tượng đang được liệt kê.
