I’d absolutely love to live in a climate like the one in Da Lat’s highlands. It’s the kind of mild, cool weather that’s a real relief compared to the intense heat we often deal with in Ho Chi Minh City these days.

In Da Lat, the temperature hits a sweet spot—it hardly ever gets too hot or too cold. The area enjoys a temperate climate year-round, with average temperatures that stay comfortably between 14°C and 23°C. The coolness during the day is just refreshing, and it can get a bit chilly at night, perfect for snuggling up under a blanket.

Even the rainfall in Da Lat is pretty manageable. Sure, it has a wet season, but the rain tends to come in quick bursts instead of long, drawn-out downpours, so it’s less of a hassle.

I’m really drawn to this type of climate because it’s a break from the relentless city heat. The cool air makes being outdoors really enjoyable and being outside doesn’t wear you down as much. 

The difference between the heat of Ho Chi Minh City and the coolness of Da Lat is like night and day. Having lived through the former, the idea of the latter sounds like a dream. It’s no wonder why city dwellers like myself flock to Da Lat whenever we could to escape the sweltering year-round heat.
