[Discussion] Sample: Obedience among children

Some people believe that children should obey rules and listen to their parents and teachers; Some others believe that less control will help children deal with adults life. Discuss both sides and give your opinion

Less control from parents:

Some things children do not wish parents to interfere with – like dating. 

They can become more responsible when they do things by themselves

They can learn useful skills such as doing chores, cooking and become more independent

They can explore new hobbies without influence from parents

Listen to and obey parents:

Parents have more experience in life, they can teach children right and wrong

Parents keep their children away from illegal substances and hanging out with bad people

Teachers spend a lot of time with youngsters and can be excellent role models 

Teachers can inform students about biological changes and help them take care of themselves

People’s views differ whether children should have receive more freedom early on in their lives. While some believe that it would be beneficial for parents to control their children less, I personally believe that it is imperative for children to listen to their parents and teachers. 

Admittedly, it is understandable why children might benefit from less control. Firstly, they would have to rely on themselves and youths would become more independent. Their parents would not have to help or remind them to do their homework, which turns these children into more self-sufficient and responsible adults. Furthermore, a lack of control would give children more freedom to find out what they like and take up their own hobbies instead of being influenced by their parents. In some cases, pastimes that are often frowned upon by parents such as video gaming or sports can turn into well-paying professions later on. 

On the other hand, there are several reasons why children should obey and listen to adults. Parents, for one, have been through more so they have more experience in life. As a result, they could warn their children about the dangers of society such as drugs or alcohol. Without parental guidence, however, teenagers are more likely to try these illegal substances due to peer pressure. Secondly, the majority of teachers are trained in children development, which means they can inform youngsters of biological changes such as puberty and advise them on how to properly take care of their body in their teenage years.

In conclusion, while children might gain some benefits for their later life when they have more freedom, I still believe that they should follow the rules and teachings of adults.
