[Maps] Islip Town Center Development
The maps show the center of a small town called Islip as it is now and plans for its development.
The provided diagram illustrates Islip town center in its current state and a proposed layout for further development.

Layout (n) = plan (n)
Overall, it is clear that the current town center is expected to undergo a thorough transformation, with numerous changes both in terms of infrastructure and facilities. Most notable would be the construction of a dual carriageway which would allow increased accessibility to planned facilities and various housing districts.

Turning first to road access, a main road cuts through the current town centre, alongside which shops are erected. This road also branches off on both sides, providing access to a school and housing area to the southwest of town and a park to the southeast. In the proposed plan, however, this main road will be removed altogether, and the new dual carriageway will be the main access point for the town and its facilities. In place of the existing main road a path designated for pedestrians only is proposed.

In terms of facilities, the shops and rural area to the north of the current main road will be demolished and replaced by a range of buildings, including a bus station, shopping mall, car park as well as a new housing area. While the housing area would have its own access road that branches from the dual carriageway, the remaining buildings would primarily be accessed via the pedestrian zone or directly from the carriageway. To the south of the main road, additional shops would be set up, whereas the park area would shrink to accommodate additional housing. Furthermore, the school is expected to expand, despite the housing area next to it remaining relatively untouched.
In terms of ____ (từ nối)
Accommodate – chứa (v)
Relatively – dường như
